Being healthy is a full-time job. You know about all the things—nutrition, exercise, sleep, hydration, and stress management. You are capable and have done difficult things in your life. And yet, achieving your health goals remains elusive.
That’s where a health and wellness coach comes in. I am Dr. Divya Singh, the Founder of Monarch Holistic Health. I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with 30 years of clinical experience. While I am an expert in fixing broken bones, you are the expert on you. There is no “one size fits all” approach. You have unique experiences, motivations, and skills. During our sessions together, we define your version of wellness and how to get there, using long- and short-term goals. I have faith in your ability and autonomy in accomplishing these goals. I’m just along for the ride.
My coaching approach is one of calmness, curiosity, and compassion, with a dash of humor and wisdom. I use techniques based in mindfulness, inquiry, and reflection. I meet you where you are. No shaming, scolding, or selling supplements!​
As a health coach, I don’t provide orthopedic treatments or medical advice. If requested, I can draw upon my background to guide you toward helpful, relevant, and accurate sources. The pillars of lifestyle medicine include nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and stress management. I think about health not so much in terms of rigid pillars, but a tapestry of interconnectedness. That’s the holistic part. The way sleep, exercise, stress, and food can influence each other. The importance of mind, body, and spirit to wellness. How our community, personal relationships, and purpose reinforce our wholeness. I believe in a personalized approach to health coaching, focusing on holistic well-being. Through evidence-based practices and lifestyle adjustments, we can embark on a transformative journey towards optimal health. With continuous care and support, I help keep you motivated, accountable, and on track towards achieving your health and wellness aspirations. Our Approach.
Our coaching journey begins with a free 20-minute consultation to connect and discuss the benefits of one-on-one coaching. If you choose to proceed, we will schedule a 1-hour session to learn more about you and your definition of wellness. We review the logistics of the coaching process, such as fees, scheduling, the coaching agreement, and address any questions or concerns. After creating your wellness vision, we have weekly 40-minute sessions, where we set measurable short and long-term goals. The ideal duration of coaching for meaningful change would be 3 months, on a weekly basis. Short-term coaching (or more infrequent sessions) can also be a way of kick-starting your "health odyssey" and experiencing immediate health benefits.
You receive ongoing support in between sessions, as resources are shared via text, phone, or email. And after reaching your wellness goals, we will discuss long-term maintenance and how to continue working towards a healthier future. Client feedback is also instrumental to my approach, so I value your input and will adapt strategies to align with your evolving needs.
Sessions are conducted virtually, using a HIPAA-compliant website. The same platform is also used to schedule appointments, send secure messages, process payments, and share important resources.​ ​
